Healing Visualization

As the Executive Director and Artist of Changing Images Art Foundation, Arlene Sullivan creates inspirational artwork on the walls of hospitals, libraries, and shelters to help spread vibrant shades of hope across the country.

Sullivan’s first inspiration came when her youngest child was hospitalized at two weeks of age and she spent two months in the intensive care unit with him. She admits the medical staff was excellent, but the atmosphere was not very cheerful or comforting. As a former art teacher, she partnered with another parent to work on her first mural and in just a few years, now works with over 4,000 eager volunteers, including many popular celebrities such as Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Jon Bon Jovi, Rosie O’Donnell and Luciano Pavarotti who have contributed to several thousand paintings.

These encouraging strokes of representation are now available along the pages of the heartfelt children’s book, The Journey of Hanna Heart wrote, illustrated and published by Sullivan. 100% of the proceeds go to Changing Images. Visit www.changingimages.org.
